How to use Snipt.

Getting started

  • Download SNIPT from the App store and open.
  • On the home page, click on the “BASICS” button to access your FREE content.
  • Scroll through the thumbnails in the basics section. Click on a thumbnail and you can read a description of the lesson and view related videos sign in and start learning.

Watch & progress

  • If you wish to watch your chosen video, press the play button. The video lessons in the BASICS section should be viewed in sequence.
  • There is a progress bar at the bottom of each video thumbnail. A tick will appear when you have completed the viewing of each video. 

Ready for more?

  • Click on the “PREMIUM” button to start your subscription. For less than the price of one cup of coffee per week , you can access all BASICS content as well as 100’s of additional videos, with additional content being added each month.

Extra stuff

  • On the app home page, check out “MENU” at the top left corner. This will allow you access to SNIPT social media, new video updates, the website and blog. Plus, you can view your progress information and your favourites playlist.

  • If I have no haircutting experiene, where do I start?

    • Snipt is designed in two sections BASICS (free content) and PREMIUM (subscription).
    • BASICS is best viewed in sequence. It will take you from the very beginning to teaching you how to cut basic men’s and ladies haircuts. PREMIUM can be viewed in any order, it teaches you how to cut popular and commercially trending haircuts, the videos are placed in categories for easy searching.

  • I am a qualified stylist, is SNIPT any good for me?

    • Yes, the PREMIUM section teaches popular and commercial haircuts. 
    • The video library is updated each month with the latest trending styles. It is perfect platform to keep your skills current.

  • Is the PREMIUM subscription expensive?

    No, the subscription is less than the price of one cup of coffee a week.

  • Is SNIPT ok for a first year apprentice?

    SNIPT is designed as a resource tool to assist you with your formal training. The videos in the free BASICS subscription relate to your first year learning.
